What conformity rules apply to cars imported into Saudi Arabia?
The Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO) requires imported vehicles to meet Gulf and Saudi technical regulations, supported by a manufacturer's conformity certificate approved by the GCC Standardization Organization (SASO). The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) also requires an energy-efficiency certificate for imported light vehicles.

GCC markets apply Gulf (GSO) technical regulations, so confirm with your clearing agent or homologation partner which conformity certificate your market requires before you order. We supply the specification sheets, VIN data and factory documents that process needs.
Can I import a used Mazda CX-5 into Saudi Arabia?
According to ZATCA, light vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes may be imported if the model is no more than five years old, not counting the current year. Vehicles converted from right-hand to left-hand steering are not allowed. The CX-5 units we supply are factory left-hand drive.
How are CX-5s shipped to Saudi Arabia?
