2025 Mazda CX-5 2.0L Comfort
The 2025 Mazda CX-5 2.0L Comfort is the price-leading trim of the current China-market range, built by Changan Mazda and launched in June 2025. It pairs the 155 PS SKYACTIV-G 2.0 engine with a 6-speed automatic and front-wheel drive, and returns 7.05 L/100 km on the WLTC cycle — the best figure in the line-up thanks to the lowest kerb weight (1,518 kg). Six airbags, stability control, LED headlights, a reversing camera, rear parking sensors and a 10.25-inch display with Apple CarPlay come as standard. For importers it is the CX-5 that opens the brand to price-sensitive retail and fleet buyers.
Comfort is the trim we recommend when price per unit decides the deal. It keeps everything that defines the CX-5 — the same body, engine, gearbox, suspension and brakes as the trims above it — and removes equipment that adds cost without changing how the car drives: the sunroof is an option, the seats are fabric, and cruise control is not fitted.
That makes it a strong fit for rental companies, staff-car fleets and dealers building volume at the entry point of the compact-SUV segment. Fabric seats and a plastic steering-wheel rim are also easier to keep clean in high-utilisation fleets. Mixed orders work well: many buyers combine Comfort units for fleet contracts with a few Elegance Pro units for showroom display.
